Rules & Regulations
Harvest Farmers Market is a producer’s market; only vendors who grow plants or edibles or who produce their own food-based products are invited to sell. Vendors shall sell only items that have been approved on the application submitted. Harvest Farmers Market has sole discretion to add or delete items from the list, and unacceptable merchandise quality will not be sold at the market.

Vendors and their employees are responsible for informing themselves about and complying with federal, state, and local health regulations and licensing requirements governing the production, display, distribution, sampling, and sale of their products.

Harvest Farmers Market at St. Roch Market will be a three day a week market located on the front and back patio of the St. Roch Market that will sell fresh produce and wholesome products from Louisiana makers and producers.

Harvest is committed to bringing sustainable solutions to help close the gap between New Orleanians and healthy food options. Our focus is to promote and build awareness to the benefits of local agriculture by creating access and bringing innovative markets and farmers’ markets to an urban environment.

Our market will provide a healthier alternative to the current industrial shopping practices by providing residents access to locally grown produce and other sustainably raised items in a personal and convenient setting. We believe that by making farmers’ markets more accessible, we can connect rural farmers, urban community garden projects and food entrepreneurs to communities in New Orleans.

Vendor Booths
Vendors will be given 10 x10 slots. Harvest will assign spaces on a rotating basis on or before market day. It is the sole discretion of Harvest to determine the spaces and where the vendors are placed. For the hour prior to market opening vendors are allowed to walk product and equipment into the space. Vendors must provide their own table, chairs, signs, and refrigeration (if needed). Based on the location vendors will have to unload their vehicles and then park in the next door St. Roch Market Parking Lot. All vendors are required to be in their assigned space and ready to sell by market open time. Trash must be placed in suitable containers.  Boxes that are left at the market for disposal must be broken down and placed near the trash receptacles.

Fees & Rent
There is a $20 application fee and a yearly administration fee of $50. All approved applicants who sell goods at the Market are required to pay rent for the space that they use. In order to secure a day stall, vendors must confirm attendance with Harvest Farmers Market staff atleast 24 hours in advance. The $20 day stall rent will be collected on or prior to market day. Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurs are charged $15 for daily stall rental.
